Sam the Snowman is one of the main protagonists of the 1964 Christmas television special on NBC/CBS/Freeform called Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. He is the narrator of the entire special, and he is voiced by Burl Ives, famous singer and voiceover artist. He proclaims Rudolph to be his guide. However, he sings a special song called Silver and Gold for Yukon Cornelius, a big gold and silver miner. He wanted to become a cave miner someday if he wanted to. The squirrels also appeared in the song, hopping around the ground as he sings off-stage.
He is voiced by the late Burl Ives, and currently voiced by Jason C. Kane in other media.
