John Stephen Goodman (born June 20, 1952) is an American actor. He gained national fame for his role as the family patriarch Dan Conner in the ABCcomedy series Roseanne (1988–1997; 2018), for which he received a Golden Globe Award, and its sequel series The Conners (2018–present).
He is known as a character actor and regular collaborator in a film as Fred Flintstone from the Flintstones (1994). He also had voice role as Layton T. Montgomery in Bee Movie (2007).
