Dusty Davis is a major protagonist in the 1996 disaster film Twister.
He is first seen with the storm chasing team to prepare to chase the F1 tornado by using a device called DOROTHY by Jo Harding. After Bill and Melissa arrive, the team begin to chase the F1 tornado. However, Dr. Jonas Miller and the rival storm chasing team also chased tornadoes. He helps Bill and Jo chase tornadoes throughout the entire film. After Jo and Bill manage to send DOROTHY and her truck into the F5 tornado and anchor themselves to pipes to let the F5 tornado die out he arrives to see Bill and Jo that they should celebrate. By the end of the film, He is seen celebrating with the other storm chasing crew while Bill and Jo rekindle their marriage with a kiss.
He is played by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
